TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE FESTIVITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE VIRGIN IN THE SKY.

Mass at 12 of the noon, sung by the assistants and with accompaniment of organ, violin and guitar.

The Christian community of Sant Martí d'Empúries welcomes and receives with jewel to all and to each of the visitors and participants of any nationality and religion.

COMMENT:

The Church celebrates, today, the solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Maria with a big jewel.

And he invites us to contemplate a double reality. Of a band, Santa Maria glorious in the definite participation in the Easter of Jesucrist; and, of the other one, the plenitude for which we ourselves are destined. Because of that we ask life according to the divine word to be able to arrive to live, like the Virgin of Natzaret, "always orientated towards God", tending with the choir and the intelligence to living according to the divine word to be able to arrive at the glory where already the Virgin has arrived.

The motive of jewel of the solemnity of today it is, therefore, also a double: the glorification of Maria and the vocation that we have received to live eternally happy. A vocation addressed to all the humanity. Seeing Maria in the glory of Christ, we see which is the greatness of  the  human being, which is its dignity and which is the fate of its existence. And, in making some conscious, we see, still, which is the love of God for each human being.

The liturgical texts of the solemnity remark us that non alone we have to gladden for the worked wonders in Maria, in its life and in its Assumption, but also of what this Assumption means for us. Because, if we try to accommodate, to meditate and to put the Word of God to the style of Saint Maria in practical, we will also be able "to share its glory" in the celestial Kingdom of Christ; as the liturgy (collection prayer) asks for it today repeatedly. Because of that, conscious of our fragility and of our inconsistency, we have to ask, also, as we will make in the moment of preparing ourselves for Eucharistic oblation that "the ours corsican" they are  "burned" in the love of the Father so that "they always live directed" towards him (prayer about the offerings). Orientated towards God and with the embers of  the love, we will be able to follow spiritually the path that has appealed the Mother of the Man until the end.

Like this we will ask it, once we have still received the sacrament saving of the Body and of the Blood of Christ, when we ask that "for the intercession of the Virgin Maria, risen to the sky, we can arrive at the glory of the resurrection" (post-communion).
